This is our two year anniversary issue! As it’s an anniversary, the idea was to feature inspiring thoughts, positive confessions and prayers culled from the inspirational articles that have been featured in the magazine in the last two years.
Listening to Dr. Caroline Leaf’s message at the Colour Conference, Sydney on TV around the same time the issue was in production, really helped to spur the issue on.
Dr Leaf is a cognitive neuroscientist with a PhD in Communication Pathology specializing in Neuropsychology. She’s also a Biblical and scientific expert on the mind.
For 30 years, she’s been studying the science of thought, and her message put a lot of insight on the importance of thinking right positive thoughts.
She explained that our thoughts are not just “matterless” (our word) – they actually occupy mental real estate. They look like trees (literally) – positive thoughts like healthy trees, negative thoughts, like dead ashen trees. And negative thoughts can secrete toxic wastes into our brains which make our physical bodies very ill.
Diabetes, cancer, asthma, skin problems , allergies and brain damage are some of the illnesses listed on her website that have been linked to toxic thoughts.
So, let’s make a note to think positively today and always.
Take a look at our Issue #13 filled with 31 inspiring thoughts, positive confessions and prayers for you.
One for every day of the month. For strength, for hope, for inspiration.
